Filmmaker Spike Lee was in Columbia Monday shooting footage for a short documentary about the University of Missouri football team for ESPN.

"We've been here since Saturday. We're doing a piece for ESPN. It's a smaller version of 30 for 30, the series is called, 'little joints," Lee said.

Lee conducted interviews with students and faculty on Monday about the past and present campus climate, last November’s Concerned Student 1950 protests and the Mizzou football boycott.

On Wednesday night, MU hosted the first of a series of lectures, that aim to educate individuals on the ins and outs of race relations.
