Briana Heaney is a senior at the University of Missouri’s journalism school studying cross-platform editing and producing and minoring in economics.
She moved to Columbia from Saint Louis and was raised in Charleston South Carolina. When she is not reporting she enjoys travling to white water rafting around the country and hanging with her border collie Bandit."

Since Missouri banned nearly all abortions following the Dobbs decision in June, Missourians who can get pregnant must now travel to other states to get abortion care.There are funds that are available to directly pay for some or all abortion care – like from the Missouri Abortion fund. However, that fund only covers abortion care and there are many other expenses related to the procedure – like transportation, accommodations, food, childcare, etc.And this is where the Midwest Access Coalition comes in.

At the country fair this weekend there were many attractions- a motorcycle trick show, fair rides, food trucks, coffee trucks, a sugar-cured ham show, and completely unrelated to the ham show- a pig race.
