Columbia Parks and Rec, Cumulus Stations Team Up For "Drive-Boo"

Halloween will be difficult to replicate because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That is why Columbia Parks and Recreation and multiple Cumulus stations are teaming up to give families an alternative of trick-or-treating.

This Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m., families are invited to Cosmo Park to participate in the “Drive-Boo.” This is a way to trick-or-treat in which you decorate your car and coast around to multiple stops to collect sweet treats.

Dennis Larimer is a programmer for many of the Cumulus Stations. Larimer says that the stations are doing whatever they can to spread the word.

“We are running the promotion, it’s being supported on multiple stations. You’ll hear about the Drive-Boo trick-or-treat on Q106.1, KPLA, NAH 100.1, 102.3 BXR. We are putting a lot into it and we think it will be a fun event,” Larimer said.

Information about the event can be found on all of the Cumulus station’s websites that are advertising for the event and on the Columbia city government page.
