Documentary filmmakers define their role

Mar 1, 2012

Documentary filmmakers, like journalists, seek to capture true stories in their work.

Yet they are sometimes seen more as artists than reporters. Does having a less defined role help or hinder them in getting access to those important, hard to tell stories, or do they experience the same type of censorship on a regular basis?   Host David Reed spoke to Karim El Hakim and Victor Kossakovsky -- two filmmakers whose work will be screened in this year's True/False Film Fest.
