Seg. 1: Ned Yost Retirement | Seg. 2: Santa Fe Trail

Segment 1: Ned Yost's retirement announcement prompts discussion on the future of the Kansas City Royals.

Ned Yost is the winningest manager in Kansas City Royals history, and he led the team to its second-ever World Series win. But he also endured some tough losing periods. To some, his announcement comes as no surprise but many fans are now wondering: Who will be his replacement?

Segment 2, beginning at 25:49: 19th-century doctor's travel diary provides a rich account of the Santa Fe Trail.

Dr. Rowland Willard traveled the Santa Fe Trail to Mexico in the 1800s. His travel log provides insight into early medical practices, trade and westward migration. His text serves as the only eyewitness account of famous mountain man Hugh Glass' injuries from a bear attack.
