Katie Quinn
Reporter/Producer, Missouri Business AlertKatie Quinn works for Missouri Business Alert. She studied radio journalism and political science at the University of Missouri- Columbia, and previously worked at KBIA. She comes from a small town outside of St. Louis called Fenton.
After interviewing and editing in the KBIA newsroom, she spends her day hiking around Columbia’s beautiful trails. Her other interests include baking cookies while watching the Great British Bake Off and playing with her dog Bojangles.

Angie Rundle lives in St. Louis, Missouri, and her son, Chris, is a student at the University of Missouri. Their family shares a rare inherited genetic condition, called familial adenomatous polyposis, which causes cancer.They spoke about Angie’s own experiences with colorectal cancer and about how this condition impacted them as Chris was growing up.

The Republican primary for Missouri’s 4th District seat is one of the most consequential elections on Tuesday. Incumbent Vicky Hartzler is vacating the seat to run for the US Senate. Seven republicans are vying for the nomination for House District 4, which is considered by analysts as a “safe Republican” seat. Across the board, the seven Republicans hold similar ideas, including being pro-life, protecting the second amendment, and having strong border control.

The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri works with local growers to have a diverse group of fresh produce. The newly harvested crops promote healthy eating in food insecure homes. Over this past year, The Food Bank began Pantry 2 Plate- a food demonstration and education program.
