For the fourth year in a row, U.S. News & World Report ranked Boone Hospital Center the best hospital in mid-Missouri.
The hospital ranked sixth in the state of Missouri, a drop from its rank of fourth last year.
U.S. News generates hospital rankings by evaluating data on nearly 5,000 hospitals in 16 adult specialties, nine adult procedures and conditions and 10 pediatric specialties. Adult procedures and conditions focus on typical Medicare patients.
Hospitals are rated as high performing, average or below average for each procedure or condition, according to a hospital news release.
