As it stands now, Rock Bridge Elementary is in Boone County limits — barely.
The Columbia School Board will decide whether to approve an application to work with Crockett Engineering Consultants at the the board's Monday meeting. The end result of that agreement would be to ask the city of Columbia to annex the elementary school into city limits.
The proposed annexation is something the Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee has been discussing for about six months, district spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark said. The annexation would make "a more streamlined process" for the district to ultimately add on to the school.
