A phone-in public meeting Tuesday, August 21, will allow McDonald County residents to ask questions about bridge work planned in their community.
The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace the Route KK Bridge over Pine Creek at Missouri Route 90 at a cost of $830,000. It plans to rehabilitate the Route U Bridge over Star Hollow Creek five miles south of Missouri Route 76.
Tuesday, residents can phone in and ask questions to MODOT project experts from 3 to 6 p.m. The number to call to take part is (417) 621-6310.
Those unable to call in during that time can visit www.modot.org/southwest for information about the projects. They also can submit comments or questions via e-mail by clicking the "give us your comments on this project" link at the bottom of the web page.
Drivers will need to find alternate routes during the work, according to MODOT. No signed detours are planned. Drivers will be able to access entrances at either end of the work zone, but will not be able to drive through it.
