Students across central and southern Missouri hoping to go to college next year can apply for scholarships offered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

The scholarships range from $250 to $6,000 for the school year beginning this fall. According to a press release from CFO, the foundation will award nearly 1,000 scholarships totaling around $1.5 million. The scholarships can be used at private and public colleges, universities, and technical-training programs.

Some of those scholarship funds are specifically for underserved populations, including students who are in the foster care system, or those with disabilities. There are also funds for African American students, and non-traditional or first generation college students.

The earliest deadline is March 8th. For more information about the scholarship program students can visit their high school counselor or go online to cfozarks.org/scholarships.
