UPDATE: Police Search In Springfield For Man Charged With Murder In Oklahoma

UPDATE:  The suspect, Nicholas Gibson, was taken into custody in east Springfield Wednesday.

Original Story:  Springfield Police Officers assisted the United States Marshals Service and the Tulsa Police Department Tuesday in attempting to apprehend two suspects who were wanted in Oklahoma for First Degree Felony Murder.

Information was received that the suspects were at 2628 West Chestnut Street.   Officers searched the home, but the suspects weren’t found.

They then received new information that the suspects were at 700 N. Hillcrest. When officers arrived they apprehended one of the wanted suspects, Ruth Blair, a white female from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The second suspect, Nicholas Gibson, was not apprehended and was last seen in the area of Hillcrest and Chestnut Street.

Gibson is a white male, 5’6” tall and 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair, which is gray on the sides and a mustache. He recently injured his left leg and may walk with a limp. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black t-shirt. 

Gibson is currently wanted for First Degree Felony Murder Warrant in Oklahoma and should be considered armed and dangerous.
