The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is in short supply of three blood types: A positive, O positive and O negative. The CBCO says donations are needed immediately to ensure that adequate reserve levels are maintained.
You can give blood at the Thomson Donor Center in Springfield, 220 W. Plainview Rd. from 8 to 6 Friday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The Joplin Donor Center at Northpark Mall is open Friday from 11 to 6. And the Springdale, Arkansas Donor Center is open Friday from 8 to 2. There are blood drives taking place Friday as well.
Anyone who gives blood this month will receive a 16 oz. CBCO campfire mug.
The CBCO is the area’s exclusive provider of blood products to patients at more than 40 area hospitals.
