The Public Is Invited To Help The Family Of Springfield Officer Christopher Walsh
Donations are being taken for the family of the Springfield Police Officer killed in the line of duty on Sunday night.
Christopher Walsh died when responding to a mass shooting at the Kum & Go on E. Chestnut Expressway. He’s survived by a wife and daughter.
The Springfield Police Officer’s Association has set up a relief fund through Metro Credit Union. They say all donations will “assist in providing a blanket of protection for his loved ones.”
Monetary donations should be dropped off Metro Credit Union, 447 S. Campbell, via the drive-thru or overnight dropbox. If you’re donating more than $1000 you should provide your legal name and address. Checks should be made to “SPOA Relief Fund.” Donations may also be sent to the SPOA at 235 N. Benton, Springfield, MO 65806.
Businesses who would like to hold fundraisers for Walsh’s family are invited to an organizational meeting Thursday night (3/19) at 6 at the Springfield Police Officer’s Association Lodge, 235 N. Benton in Springfield.
