The Greene County clerk is asking voters to carefully review any unsolicited voter registration applications for accuracy if they come from any organization other than his office.

Shane Schoeller says the clerk’s office has recently learned that a registration packet sent by the Washington D.C.-based nonprofit, Voter Participation Center, contained incorrect information about voter registration records in Missouri.

He encourages anyone who wants to register to vote to fill out applications with the help of deputy registrars at locations throughout Greene County.  The registrars receive bi-annual training through the county clerk’s office.  Those locations include any Springfield-Greene County Library branch, city halls, most public schools DMV offices and the county clerk’s office.

For information about registering to vote, call the county clerk’s office eat (417) 868-4060 or email CountyClerk@greenecountymo.gov.

The deadline to register to vote for the November Election is October 7th, 2020.
