Springfield City Council is expected to decide Monday night, October 5, whether to extend the city’s mask mandate, and several citizens are signed up to speak about the extension.
City Council voted in July to require anyone older than 11 to wear a face covering to control the spread of COVID-19.
During a city council lunch in late September, health leaders in Springfield told council members about the impact of the illness on area hospitals and encouraged them to extend the mask mandate.
The meeting starts Monday night at 6:30 at Historic City Hall. It will be livestreamed on the City of Springfield's website.
