Firefighters who have died in the line of duty will be remembered during a virtual memorial service this Sunday.  The service is being held by the Fire Fighters Memorial of Missouri.

The names of three firefighters who died in the line of duty during 2019 have been added to the monument’s wall in Kingdom City.  They are 51-year-old Captain Travis Owens with the St. Joseph Fire Department; 42-year-old firefighter and paramedic, Christopher Moore, with the Maryland Heights Fire Protection District; and 63-year-old Chief J. Allyn Reding with the Duenweg Volunteer Fire Department.

The service will start Sunday morning at 10:30 on the Division of Fire Safety Facebook page and on the Fire Fighters Memorial Foundation of Missouri’s YouTube channel.

The service was originally scheduled for May 17, but it was postponed because of the pandemic.
