Mental Health Professional Discusses ‘Collective Grief’ Experience Of 2020

This week, host Hue Ping Chin speaks with Andrea Bishop, Licensed Professional Counselor and Executive Director of the Betty and Bobby Allison Ozarks Counseling Center, a nonprofit United Way affiliate offering mental health services regardless of the client's ability to pay.

Today’s discussion explores common mental health effects experienced by many, resulting from cumulative stressors of COVID-19 and related difficulties.  Topics discussed include the concept of “collective grief,” common symptoms of depression or anxiety, coping strategies and local resources available.
