A Republican Missouri House member is entering the race for U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler’s seat. Rep. Sara Walsh on Wednesday announced her candidacy.
She's a 42-year-old Ashland resident, who voters first elected to the state House in 2017.
Hartzler is running for U.S. Senate, opening up her 4th District congressional seat.
Other candidates eyeing Hartzler's seat include former Republican state Sen. Ed Emery.
Taylor Burks, a Former Republican Boone County Clerk, and Jeff Leathers, a Democrat from Archie, Missouri, have also entered the race.
