Kansas City Police Board Member's Credentials Questioned

A news report is raising questions about biographical information provided by the newest member of the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners.

Dawn Cramer, who was appointed to the board last month, said she was a past board member of two charities and had completed “the highest level Ph.D. program from Klemmer University.”

KCUR reports tax records going back to 2006 do not list Cramer on the boards of the Heartland Foundation or the Shepherd's Center. Cramer told the station she was on the boards.

Klemmer is a for-profit company that does not provide Ph.Ds. Cramer said she had never claimed to have an academic Ph.D.
