Huntsville police chief found dead, foul play not ruled out

The president of the Missouri Federation of Police Chiefs has been found dead, and a coroner says the death was not due to natural causes.

KOMU-TV reports Huntsville Police Chief William "Buddy" Stuck was found dead shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at his home in the central Missouri town.

Stuck was 64 years old and had been in law enforcement for more than 25 years. Randolph County Coroner Gerald Luntsford says foul play has not been ruled out.

The Missouri Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control is helping investigate. An autopsy is planned Friday.
