Drury University

Drury University is reaching out to alumni and others to help find the university's next president.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that Lyle Reed, chair of Drury's Board of Trustees, said in a recently letter to alumni he wants them to help nominate potential candidates for the job. He also said the right person to lead Drury may not be looking for a new job.

Drury President David Manuel recently announced plans to retire in May. He was hired about three years ago.

To start the process of finding a new president for Drury, the board also formed a group that includes faculty members, a senior staff representative, an officer from the alumni council and select board members.

Drury is a private, liberal arts college in Springfield.
