All University of Missouri System undergraduate students, except for nonresidents at Missouri Science and Technology, will pay 5 percent more next academic year for tuition.

The UM System Board of Curators unanimously approved the hike in a special session Wednesday. The curators also approved increases to supplemental fees for some schools and colleges and approved the next stages of the $221 million Translational Precision Medicine Complex.

UM System President Mun Choi said that, relative to neighboring peer institutions, MU was still a good financial option for families.

“We are still a bargain,” he said.
