A top senator says his chamber will hold up a budget for the state Revenue Department until it gets answers on a new procedure for issuing driver's licenses.

Senate Majority Leader Ron Richard made the announcement today. The Senate subpoenaed the Revenue Department this week for information on whether it's sharing personal information from driver's license applicants with the federal government or a private company.

The department has until April 2nd to respond.
