Last Day to Request Mailed Absentee Ballot Today; Options for In-person Absentee Voting This Weekend

Today is the last day to request an absentee mail-in ballot for the April 6th municipal election. The deadline is 5 p.m. 

To vote absentee, there are six options to qualify. This includes having an illness or physical disability or not be in Boone County on April 6th. 

This weekend, there are options for those that qualify to vote in-person absentee; From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, absentee voters can drop off ballots or vote in-person absentee at the HyVee on Nifong Boulevard. On Sunday, Parkade Elementary School will be open the same time period for absentee voters. 

Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon said that there will be another opportunity on April 3rd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boone County Clerk’s Office.

“They have until 5 p.m. on April 5th, which is the Monday before the election,” Lennon said. 

Voters can also go into the Boone County Clerk’s Office from 8 in the morning till 5 in the evening on weekdays to vote in-person absentee.
