The City of Columbia is preparing for the thousands of festival-goers expected for this weekend’s annual True/False Film Festival. Columbia Spokesperson Megan McConachie said there will be road closures to accommodate the event.

This year, the city of Columbia is closing Ninth Street between Locust and Elm streets downtown Thursday morning through Monday morning. McConachie said the March March Parade may cause delays on Ninth Street between Walnut and Locust Friday night.

“It is right, kind of around that evening rush hour time,” said McConachie. “If you typically drive through downtown to get home, you may want to take an alternate route.”

McConachie said the city will not be offering special bus routes during the festival. However, Go COMO buses will continue to run regular routes, which end at 6:40 p.m each day. There will be no Sunday bus service.
