Three people have been charged with murder for a Springfield homicide in which a body has not been found.

According to the Springfield Police Department, last August, they received information that 34-year-old Elijah McReynolds may have been the victim of a homicide that had not been reported.  Investigators learned that the homicide occurred in Springfield in July of 2019 and the victim’s body was moved to another location.  McReynolds is currently listed as a missing person.

On April 7, police arrested William A. Skaggs and Kaleigh A. Pickle of Strafford.  A third suspect, Dustin Winter of Springfield, was being held in the Tipton Correctional Facility on an unrelated charge.

This week, the Greene County prosecutor charged Skaggs and Pickle with kidnapping and second degree murder.  Winter was charged with kidnapping, three counts of tampering with physical evidence and first degree murder.  They’re being held without bond in the Greene County Jail.

Anyone with information should contact Springfield Police at 417-865-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-8477.
