Nurses' Coronavirus Concerns | Prisoners Healthy & Safety | Contact Tracing App

Segment 1, beginning at 6:09: The effects on nurses of the coronavirus extends beyond the physical danger.

The state director of the Missouri Nurses Association is concerned about lasting mental health effects the coronavirus pandemic will have on nurses.


Segment 2, beginning at 28:22: As the coronavirus spreads in state correctional facilities, the ACLU of Kansas sued on behalf of inmates.

Kansas prisoners are concerned about not having access to adequate hygiene and cleaning supplies, and the state ignoring other health care recommendations that would slow the spread of COVID-19.


Segment 3, beginning at 50:33: A contact tracing app with roots in Kansas City

TripleBlind, a Kansas City company, helped with the development of Safe Paths, a smartphone app used to aid in tracking the whereabouts of those infected with coronavirus. Security and privacy remains a concern.
