Shawnee Mission School Nurses | Overland Park Film's HBO Premiere

Segment 1 beginning at 6:33: School nurses are facing new challenges during the pandemic

In the midst of the coronavirus, the Shawnee Mission, Kansas school district has nurses who are working 20-hour days and others assigned to full-time contact tracing. Some parents have proven to be difficult, refusing to release the names of students who had outside contact with their child.

Segment 2 beginning at 25:45: Overland Park filmmaker spent five years with the subjects of her latest work.

"Transhood," follows four transgender children and their families as they adapt to the change. Director Sharon Liese shares her experience in capturing their lives, and the film critics run down new movies available now.
