The Columbia City Council will announce their selection of a city manager this morning, according to a City of Columbia press release. The two finalists are current Interim City Manager John Glascock and Jim Palenick, who is the city administrator in Racine, Wisconsin.

The public announcement will be held at City Hall at 11 a.m., and the Columbia community is invited to join. The event will also be broadcast live on the city’s website.

A Missouri agency is gathering public feedback on a proposed hike in hunting and fishing fees.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Friday that the Conservation Department wants to raise nonresident deer hunting licenses from $225 to $265 starting next year.

Nonresidents also could see a hike in turkey license fees from the current $190 to $224.
