State Parks | Small Businesses Go Digital | Wynton Marsalis

Segment 1, beginning at 4:10: State parks are still mostly open, despite COVID-19.

All of the state parks in Kansas are still open and only a few in Missouri are closed. While some park services are currently suspended, both states are seeing an increase in new users and are closely monitoring the situation to see when full services can resume.

Segment 2, beginning at 22:50: Local businesses are increasing their digital presence to stay afloat.

There has never been a more important time to have an online store for Kansas City businesses. It's hard, though, because many of the things they sell are also available on Amazon, and they can't replicate the same atmosphere online.

Segment 3, beginning at 39:04: A new jazz album celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Lied Center of Kansas.

Each of the Rock Chalk Suite’s 15 movements takes inspiration from a different University of Kansas hoops legend. It was written and recorded by the musicians of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.
