KBIA Wins Five Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, Shares One
On April 23 the Radio and Television Digital News Association awarded KBIA five prestigious Edward R. Murrow awards for our work as a small-marketradio station in region 5. These awards recognize "the best electronic journalism produced by radio, television and online news organizations around the world"

Our report Youth in Ferguson: 'I want more for my city than what it is now' won in the category of Best Feature Reporting, and was reported by Katie Hiler, Austin Federa, Hope Kirwan and Bram Sable-Smith.
We are also proud to receive two awards for our feature report Heartland, Missouri, reported by KBIA News Director RyanFamulinerand MU Convergence student Abigail Keel, with contributors Casey Morelland Janet Saidi. The special report, nearly a year in the making, won for Best Investigative Reporting, and Best Writing.
