It's been a busy week in Jefferson City. While the city was considering how to overcome a $1.68 million budget deficit, the Public Works Director and Communications Director both decided to resign on the same day this week. Mayor Eric Struemph decided to call a special city council meeting for Thursday, even though the council was set to meet this coming Monday anyway. There, the council unveiled its plan to deal with the deficit head-on. You can see the details of the cuts the boring way here (PDF).
