Claire Powell’s passion for journalism lies in her passion for community. Her goal in her reporting is to provide localized stories that highlight the direct impact it has on the public. As a journalist, Powell believes that her purpose is to serve the communities in her area and cover stories that they want and need to hear about.
Powell is a senior at the Missouri School of Journalism. Previously, she interned at KCUR 89.3’s daily news talk show “Up To Date.”
