Les Gray

  • As many as two dozen tractors will be on display at this year's Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church picnic! Pastor STEVE VAN DRIMMELEN says everyone's invited to come out for free food, fun and fellowship on September 23rd. Also, LES GRAY and BRANDON RILEY are director and co-director/actor, respectively, of MU Theatre's production of 'Thoughts of a Colored Man' by Keenan Scott II. One of the things that makes this show unique, according to Dr. Gray, is its approach to storytelling: "it uses slam poetry and poetic devices along with regular dialog." Curtain goes up tomorrow night! (4:47) September 19, 2023
  • A well-rested, post-Art in the Park KELSEY HAMMOND is here to invite everyone to this Friday's reception for the Members' Summer Show at the Columbia Art League. "It's a nice time to be around other people who appreciate art." Also, MU Theatre Department opens AIDA this Thursday at the Rhynsburger Theatre on the MU campus! If you're not familiar with the show, today's guests, LES GRAY and JOY POWELL, tell us all about it. (3:54) June 21, 2022
  • If you're familiar with any entry in 'The War of the Worlds' lineage (the book, the radio broadcast, the movie...), then you have a general idea of what you're going to get when you go see MU Theatre Department's stage version of H.G. Wells' sci-fi classic, but there's still more to the story, according to assistant director LES GRAY! Also, BRITTANY WHITLEY is back with good news: MOST Policy Initiative is making a real impact in Jefferson City. "1 in 3 lawmakers know who we are and have asked us for information, in both parties."
