A student-led effort to improve storm safety on the University of Missouri’s campus resulted in a new certification.

A tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service for northern parts of Boone County at 10:36 a.m. The warning included Centralia and Hallsville.

The National Weather Service expects 2 to 4 inches of snowfall between 6 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Friday.
